Style Interview with Admire!

Today we are interviewing Admire to dish about all things fashion!

Meet Admire

Admire is a student at the University of North Texas, as well as a singer and songwriter.

How would you define your personal style?

My style is very me but I do take little bites and pieces from the early 2000s y2k in my opinion, that's the best era of fashion yet!!! Like one thing that's so me is leg warmers with every outfit, it makes the outfit cunty!!

Why is fashion important to you?

Fashion is important to be because it's a way to express yourself without anyone getting to know you, they know you through your clothes.

How do you use fashion to express yourself?

I use fashion to express my mood. Like if I am in a bad mood I always wear dark colors like all black or if I'm really happy I will wear light colors.

How has your style evolved?

My style evolved a lot since middle school. I used to grow up with my mom picking out everything for me or her judging everything I wore or people at middle school judging every single thing I wore because it was “too gay.” In my junior year of high school, I felt like I broke that and dressed however I wanted.

Opinion on trends? Do you prefer to follow them or do your own thing?

Following fashion trends is cute. I love how our generation is going back to the y2k era and I love how people create their own aesthetics, like mine leg warmers with everything and jorts. I love how aliyah made her aliyahcore brand.

Who do you take fashion inspo from?

I take fashion inspo from aliyahinterludes from Pinterest most of the time. I am a Pinterest whore!!! And from satantoney and johanphillas on Instagram.

Define fashion in your own words.

Fashion is art.

What is your greatest strength in fashion?

I think my greatest strength is being able to make colors that don’t go together make sense on me, like red and brown always eats down together.

What advice do you have for people venturing into fashion?

The advice I have is to me, you break the norm, if you feel like wearing gym shorts with heels, get to ittttt!

What do you want people to know about you after this interview?

I want people to know after this interview is dress up and have funnnn! I treat my Instagram page as my closet I just show off all my outfits and to go on Pinterest always!!

How does your style influence your social media presence?

My style reels in my audience now a bunch of fashion whores follow me and I love it. I'm still waiting on a vogue follow and a Bella Hadid follow lol.

Favorite controversial fashion piece?

A conversational piece that I love is the mini skirts over the jeans. Those are so cute and cuntyyyyy!
